Working Foreman / Planner

Job Description

Planq, an innovative and sustainable furniture company with a growing international impact, is looking for an Associate Foreman / Work Planner to take our production processes and logistics organization to the next level. You will be responsible for the smooth running of assembly, production and mounting projects. In addition to your role in the workshop, you are also an organizational talent who combines logistical planning and project coordination with a hands-on approach. With your affinity for furniture and logistics, you are the lynchpin between the office, workshop and customer.

You will be working in a young and enthusiastic team (age 23-38) with a family atmosphere and we like to joke around and work hard. Your homebase will be our brand new showroom in a 500 year old monument in the center of Gorinchem which is very lively, just like our get-togethers, fair visits and company outings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work preparation and logistics planning

    • Ensure the planning and organization of furniture assembly and assemblies on site.

    • Creating project schedules and ensuring deadlines are met.

    • Coordinate logistical processes, such as organizing transportation and on-site assembly.

  • Directing and motivating

    • Managing, supervising and motivating the team of mechanics and workshop staff.

    • Create a pleasant working atmosphere and ensure that the team performs at its best.

  • Operational execution

    • Collaborate in the workshop on the assembly and partial production of furniture.

    • Actively assist in placing and assembling furniture on site at customers' premises.

    • Identify and resolve challenges in logistics and executive processes.

  • Quality control and customer orientation

    • Oversee the quality of furniture and execution of assembly projects.

    • Direct communication with clients to ensure projects are completed to their full satisfaction.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a hands-on mentality and combine practical work with logistical organization;

  • You are a true leader: you can manage, motivate and support a team;

  • Affinity with the furniture, interior or project market is a plus;

  • You have experience or interest in logistically planning and organizing projects;

  • You are customer-oriented and stand for the quality of the work being delivered;

  • You are flexible and can switch well between office and workshop activities.

What we offer

  • Work at an innovative and sustainable furniture company with international growth;

  • A versatile position with lots of responsibility and variety between office, workshop and project sites;

  • A small and close-knit team where your input and ideas are valued;

  • Room to grow with the company and work on unique, sustainable projects;

  • The opportunity to contribute to a circular future with innovative materials like Rezign;

  • A work week of 32-40 hours, negotiable;

  • A competitive salary.
