.In the spotlight! The gym floor table
In our stories, we often tell you that we do more than sustainable things with jeans. We ourselves use the oneliner "Sustainable furniture brand that bridges contemporary design and environmental awareness. To do this, we use jeans and other recycled textiles, bio-based raw materials and yes: gym floors, among other things. The old ones, made of solid wood. A product we are proud of, so may we have a spotlight on our gym floor table this week?
.The Week of the Circular Economy
This week is dedicated to the circular economy. A week in which entrepreneurs show what circular business looks like in practice. Why? To learn from it and get inspired. Does it not do much for you as an individual? Then we really don't pigeonhole you right away. We actually 'just' want to show you that we make beautiful things from waste. Like the gymfloor table. A design piece that we are proud of and which checks off circular entrepreneurship, design and storytelling all three. It is a story; an item that touches you if you have anything to do with sports and with which you always have something to say.

.That gym floor table doesn't come out of the blue
Literally, because there is quite a bit going on. But we are not making this subject up out of thin air either. Our gym floor table recently appeared in the NPO program Draadstaal. Of course we were quite proud of that, we shared something about it and hop, lots of interest! So we decided to put this table in the spotlight and tell more about it. Or rather the other way around: a spotlight on the table. After all, they weigh quite a bit. Pull up a chair, we'll tell you more and make The Week of the Circular Economy interesting for you too!
.Gym floor table: from 40-year-old sports floor to unique solid wood table
The gym floor table was designed from a passion for beautiful things and a circular point of view. 'How can we still give materials that are no longer used or even ready for the landfill a new life?' That's already a beautiful process when recycling jeans, classic banker suits and army clothing, let alone a 40-year-old gym floor. When an old gym or gymnasium is demolished that still has a floor in it, we get excited. On site, the floor is cut into multiple panels and stored. The great thing about the gym floors of yesteryear is that they are actually solid tropical wood. That gives a house an industrial, sporty and unique atmosphere. It gives your house a story.
Let's throw in a fun fact, shall we? At the first gym floor ever taken out, they recovered an old trainer's lost wedding ring. He had already lost it for about 20 years!
.The fun part? You can choose your own part of the gym floor
Such a gym floor has different colored lines. Another fact! Those lines have meaning, too. Did you used to play a lot of basketball? Then you can have breakfast in the morning at (part of) the bucket or brag about the points you used to score with a cup of coffee at the three-point line. Still trauma from the shuttle run or "bleep test"? Then we recommend leaving out the back line you just didn't make it in time. Still, that keeps such a dinner party fun. No kidding: we are honored to see our gym floor table featured in various interiors and stories. What's your story?
.Create your own gym floor table
We delved into the meaning of all the lines and so we are happy to advise you in a great choice! On our gym floor plans you can pick your own panel, make your choice of dining or coffee table and choose from an angular or straight base of hot-rolled steel with various colors of powder coating. Who said meeting on the gym floor isn't cozy? That this can also be sustainable and in keeping with the circular economy, we think is a very nice touch.
.Anything but ordinary.
