Planq's sustainable chairs, including the Rebel and Ubu series, combine modern design with circular innovation. Made from recycled textiles such as denim and old army clothing and fitted with steel or, on request, FSC®-certified wooden frames, these stackable chairs are versatile in any space. Perfect for hospitality, sustainable office design or home use, each design tells a story and contributes to a waste-free future-without compromising on comfort or style.
.Sustainable Chairs
At Planq, we believe that sustainability and design go hand in hand. Our collections of sustainable chairs and barstools-including the industrial Rebel Collection and the ethically inspired Ubu Chair-embodycircular design principles while providing versatility, comfort and aesthetics for any interior.
The Rebel Collection consists of chairs with or without armrests and bar stools made with durable steel frames and seats made from Rezign®, our proprietary material developed from recycled textiles. The powder-coated steel frames provide a tough industrial look and can be customized in a wide range of colors-from striking bright hues to natural earth tones. There's also plenty of choice in seating comfort: go for sturdy Rezign® seats or opt for soft upholstery made from recycled PET bottles or recycled leather, all available in carefully curated colors and textures.
The Ubu Chair takes its name from the South African Ubuntu-aphilosophy that revolves around humanity, sharing and sustainability. Inspired by Scandinavian design, this chair stands out for its sleek wooden frame of FSC®-certified oak or walnut, combined with a seat and back of Rezign® Veneer. Each chair processes an average of 7.2 discarded jeans, transforming textile waste into high-quality, circular furniture. As with the Rebel Collection, the Ubu Chair includes an option for soft seats with environmentally friendly recycled fabrics.
Both collections are designed with functionality and durability in mind. This makes the stackable chairs ideal for hospitality environments such as bars, restaurants, canteens or events. Finished with unique materials such as army clothing, old suits or coffee bags, these chairs tell a story of reuse, creativity and design with impact.
